We believe the church has been given the command by Christ to make disciples among all the nations. Because we believe this, Lee’s Chapel has a passion for missions. Whether through personal involvement or through supporting others, Lee’s Chapel has a heart for the nations. Whether right here at home, across the state, or around the world, Lee’s Chapel desires to see people worship God.

Outreach

Food Pantry

Through donations of food and money, the Food Pantry is stocked and open to the community. It is open every Wednesday from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer, Vacation Bible School (VBS) is always an exciting time at Lee’s Chapel. The 2024 theme for VBS is Breaker Rock Beach.  Children, youth and adults alike will have time to explore and experience God’s Word in new and exciting ways. All will be transformed by renewing their minds as we study and explore Jesus’ truths. More details and registration forms to come!

Rise Against Hunger

Every November the church community comes together for an evening to serve through a Rise Against Hunger event. Rise Against Hunger is a growing global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies. Here at LCC we package more than 10,000 meals in support of the organization’a global efforts.  Come and volunteer! The date for our 2024 Rise Against Hunger event is 11/24/24.

Operation Christmas Child

The OCC team leads the church’s efforts to show God’s love to children around the world through the simple gift of a shoebox packed with a variety of items for boys or girls.

Ramp Ministry

The Men’s Fellowship identified a community wide need of providing portable ramps for individuals who require assistance accessing their homes. Over fifteen years ago we began building individual ramps for church members who required a ramp to go in and out of their homes. Over time, the ministry has expanded to serve individuals residing within a five-mile radius of the church. Today, we install and loan portable aluminum ramps at no cost for individuals and their family for as long as the ramp is needed. The Men’s Fellowship raises the funds necessary for purchasing and maintaining ramps which are stored at the church. Our inventory of ramps average around ten with the most ramps on loan in the community. This ministry enables individuals to remain in their home and live as independently as possible.

Goals:

  1. With God’s guidance and mercy we aim to demonstrate our love and caring for others by offering a ramp loan program for families in need in the local community.
  2. This ramp ministry serves our community at no cost to qualified participants.
  3. Customize ramp installation to meet the needs of the individual, family and site location.

Disaster Relief

The Disaster Relief team responds to local, state, and national disasters when called upon. They see themselves as God’s hands caring for those in need.

Other Outreach Opportunities

Lee’s Chapel is always looking for other ways to serve in the name of Christ. Likewise, several of the church’s organizations and ministries are serving and always looking for more ways to serve the community throughout the year.
